MGIMO professor since 2010. Responsibilities: supervision of English language teaching content and organization in the Masters' degree program at the faculty of International Journalism. Tutoring PhD students and lecturing a course on Cognitive Linguistics to them. Area of academic interests: cognitive linguistics, creativity in languages, semiotics, cognitive research for ESP and EAP.

Education: Diploma of higher education with honors in English and German languages (1976). Doctoral dissertation on Germanic languages (defended at Moscow State Linguistic University, 1999).

Since 2010 up to present holds a part-time position as a senior researcher at the Center for Cognitive Programs and Technologies (Russian State University for the Humanities, Moscow). Participant of several projects, supported by the Russian Fund for Fundamental Research and Russian Science Foundation.

Author of more than 120 publications, including 5 monographs («Word-formation category of nomena agentis (cognitive perspective)» 1999; «Cognitive analysis of words with inherited concepts» 2002; «Methods of cognitive analysis of word semantics (computer-corpus approach» 2014 (a co-authored chapter); chapters in monographs «Event representation: integrated approach from cognitive science perspective», 2017; "Modern trends in Germanic linguistics: considerations on concept representations" , 2017).
"Lingvocreativity in Academic Writing"

The paper discusses lingvocreativity in academic writing. The research is based on the writing performance of the master's students. In creative writing, students do not always follow the patterns they are given but question them and turn to creativity in their written productions. We compare creative sentences, containing conceptual metaphors and similes to those, written according to models, most frequently presented in C1-C2 textbooks as desirable for correct academic writing.
